‘We’re all going on a summer holiday!’ Both anticipated and dreaded by parents, this marks the beginning of summer! Now is the perfect time to check out some resources to support working parents, especially while the kids are at home!

An initiative launched by our pals at Virgin Pulse! The aim is to encourage organisations to improve the wellbeing of their employees by providing the necessary tools, resources and support.

LGBTQ+ Pride Month

Across the globe LGBTQ+ communities celebrate in many ways. Pride events (and parties) are held, and an effort is made to bring awareness to the history of the LGBTQ+ community. June is regarded as Pride month as this was when the Stonewall Riots occurred.

World Environment Day

An annual event celebrated globally and created by the UN. Each year it's hosted by a different country and has found its 2023 home in Pakistan. The theme for this year is Ecosystem Restoration. Keep an eye out for the #GenerationRestoration hashtag.

Men's Health Week

The week is all about mental and physical wellbeing for men. It encourages exercise, healthy diets and regular visits to the doctor. This is a national celebration where people wear blue ribbons in support and encourage men to take care of themselves.

Sikh: Martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev Sahib

This holiday commemorates the first Sikh martyr, killed in 1606. This holiday is celebrated with a full reading of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib. There is sometimes a procession, and sweets are offered to the general public outside gurdwaras.

Hajj in Islam is the pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia. This is a journey that many Muslims must make at least once in their lifetimes. It’s the 5th fundamental pillar in the 5 Pillars of Islam.
