Neuroscience Surveys
Welcome To The Neuroscience Upgrade
Have you heard? We’ve launched the biggest upgrade to our platform yet!
We’re calling it the neuroscience upgrade, and we’ve baked our neuroscience methodology into every facet of our platform. This means that as well as being informed by expertise and insight into the world of organisational culture, our platform is underpinned by the science of how our brains work.
In short our platform will allow you to measure employee engagement AND happiness.
Why Neuroscience?
Neuroscience is at the heart of what we do because it allows you to understand everything that your people think, feel and do.
Neuroscience tells us that happiness is what happens when our basic needs are met, this includes our needs for safety and security. Within a work context we think about employee happiness as intrinsically linked with employee engagement. This is because engagement gives us direction and happiness creates energy. Imagine a car… engagement is the wheel and happiness is the fuel. It’s one thing knowing where you want to go, it’s another to have the energy to take you there!
Engagement AND Happiness
We believe it’s important for you to be able to quickly and easily see both how engaged AND how happy your people are. Our employee platform allows you to visualise these as scores, using an easy to understand scale.
We break employee happiness and engagement into two areas each. These are linked to our four brain systems model.
The Four Brain Systems
Our neuroscience is based on our four brain systems model. These relate to the four ways that we experience and react to the world around us.
The four key brain systems are:
Instinctive – This is our innate response to our environment.
Emotional – This is our immediate response to other people.
Reflective – This is our ability to mentally or emotionally “step back” and consider our response
Rational – This is our ability to slow down and consider our options.
The instinctive and emotional brain systems feed into workplace happiness, while the reflective and rational brain systems feed into employee engagement.
Each of us uses all four of these brain systems every day. As we react and interact with the world around us.
Eight Neuroscience Themes
In order for you to be able to accurately gauge how your organisation scores against each of these four key brain systems, all of our surveys are linked back to eight themes. Each of the brain systems have two neuroscience themes linked to them.
We believe that if your organisation is able to harness each of these themes, you will be able to build a thriving work culture.
The eight themes are:
Safety
Freedom
Relationships
Acknowledgement
Meaning
Personal growth
Clarity of purpose
Enablement.
These filter into the brain systems, and then into both happiness and engagement.
How We Built Neuroscience Into Our Product
As well as our flagship product, Employee Voice, which allows you to measure and visualise happiness and engagement in real-time, our new platform includes a wide range of pre-built surveys. These allow you to measure every step of your employee life cycle, from their first day until their last.
All our pre-built employee surveys, reports and insights are underpinned by the eight themes that form our unique neuroscience methodology, enabling your people to thrive at work.
You can dive into each of the areas on your dashboard.
This allows you to build a data led people strategy for your organisation.
