THE CHALLENGE

Clear Channel is one of the UK’s leading out of home media owners. They specialise in finding innovative ways for brands to engage people while they’re out and about, such as via billboards and digital displays.

What Clear Channel wanted to achieve:

Ability to gather feedback from all members of staff no matter of their location.

This included those who have traditionally been hard to reach, e.g. they don’t have an email address or they’re ‘out on the road’.

Ensuring all employees, even those in the hardest to reach places, had the opportunity for their voices to be heard.


THE SOLUTIOn

  1. An online meeting was held where we discussed a number of options for how to gather feedback.
  2. It was agreed that invites via text messages would be the most effective solution and that everyone would be able to access text messages.
  3. We developed and tested the ability for Clear Channel to invite their people via text and the text message contained a brief introduction and a link to their survey.

THE RESULTs



  • By using text message survey invites – the response rate increased capturing an extra 123 useful employee responses.
  • Response rates increased by 19% between surveys.
  • Staff who had not previously been asked for feedback immediately felt more engaged and connected with Clear Channel as an employer.
