ENABLEMENT NEUROSCIENCE THEME

WHAT THIS MEANSIN THE WORKPLACE

Enablement means having the necessary resources to get the job done. It is the strategic and methodical practice of giving your people whatever they need to do their job to the best of their ability.

Getting the right resources to your teams at the right time is key for employee engagement and can ultimately be a precursor of whether an organisation succeeds or fails.

Enablement can be broken down into 3 core areas...Workload, Resources & Collaboration

AREA 1:WORKLOAD

The level of workload and the degree of challenge within it needs to be sufficient to keep the person engaged but not overwhelmed.

People need to feel like they have a realistic chance of handling their workload successfully and the sense of achievement that results from this. Factors such as effective scheduling, task allocation and prioritisation are critical.

AREA 2:RESOURCES

People need the right resources to be available to fulfill their responsibilities.

This includes having access to the appropriate tools, systems and support services, as we provide enablement through education and training.

AREA 3:COLLABORATION

Collaboration with other teams outside of the immediate role context can open up opportunities for wider creative contribution and more effective teamwork.

Apart from the new ideas that can emerge for greater efficiency and business success, it can also provide real cultural benefits and broader organisational agility.
