What personal data do we hold?



Personal identification information

We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our platform to complete a survey, subscribe to the newsletter, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, and demographic information so their survey responses can be processed, for example their location, department, length of service. Users can always refuse to supply personally identifiable information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

Non-personal identification information

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilised and other similar information.

The Happiness Index may collect and use Users personal information to process your survey results

What do we do with your data?



When you respond to one of The Happiness Index surveys 2 things happen.

1. Your response is placed into your organisation's database and can be analysed within their platform.

2. A copy of your response is anonymised and placed in our data warehouse which drives our benchmarking capability.

Please note that it is not possible for users of our platform to identify you if you are responding to an anonymous survey and we remove all personally identifiable data when placing your response in our data warehouse.

How do we get your information?



Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you or your employer in order to analyse survey responses.

Web Browser Cookies

Our Site may use “cookies” to enhance User experience. User's web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. Users may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.

Analytics Cookies

We use Performance cookies across the websites for internal purposes to help us to provide you with a better user experience. These cookies monitor how visitors move around the Website and how they reached it. This is used so that we can see total (not individual) figures on which types of content users enjoy most, for instance.

Sharing your personal information



We do not sell, trade, or rent Users' personal identification information to others. We may share generic, aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners & trusted affiliates. This will be done for the purposes outlined above. If we use your information to help your organisation analyse their results we will keep the information for up to 2 years after your organisation ceases being a client of ours.
